The Legend Eco 500 Flueless Gas Fire
The Eco 500 flueless gas fire, a newer product from Legend, offers the ultimate in contemporary style and up-to-date technology. Stunningly simple in design, the Eco 500 frames the dancing flames with an all-black glass surround. Like a piece of art, the Eco 500 is made to hang on the wall, and because it does not need a chimney or a flue, it is the perfect choice for modern rooms that do not have a fireplace.
The Eco 500 flueless gas fire is 865mm in height, 500mm in width, and projects 150mm from the wall. It requires a room that is a minimum of 23m3, or 10'2" by 10'2" with 8" ceilings. It is not intended for use in bedrooms or bathrooms. Installation is simply a matter of hanging the unit on the wall and then enjoying the warmth provided by the clean-burning flames.
Using patented catalytic technology, the Eco fire converts the carbon monoxide generated by the flames into safe carbon dioxide. The catalytic converter itself requires no cleaning, and current research estimates that it has a life span of at least 27 years. Another added benefit: catalytic technology not only prevents dangerous gases from being released into the environment, but it actively cleans the air in the room, reducing common pollutants and allergens such as cigarette smoke and odors.
