The Kinder Black Magic Gas Fire
Manufactured by Kinder, the Black Magic Gas Fire is a stunningly realistic coal effect gas fireplace. Suited to contemporary environments, the Kinder Black Magic fireplace is surrounded by a textured black-finished fascia. Two horizontal lines beneath the fire bed add a contemporary emphasis to this fireplace.
The Black Magic, with its black surround that is precast, creates a stunning focal point when set in a mantel with clean, modern lines. The warmth of wood complements this fireplace beautifully. Or, a metal-finished mantel could be used to reinforce the contemporary aspects of this unit.
Though the Kinder Black Magic can be installed in homes with a chimney or flue, it is available with a Powerflue so that it can also be used in situations where there is neither a chimney or flue. The Powerflue uses an electronically-driven fan that is mounted on the external wall. This fan expels the flue gases directly outside.
With safety in mind, the Kinder Black Magic offers both the standard flame supervision device and the oxygen depletion sensor that shuts down the unit if the flame goes out. It also provides significant radiant heat: the output of the Powerflue model ranges from 1.5kY to 3.3kY. The operating costs run from 10.5p to 17.3p using the powerflue, based on 2.5p per kilowatt per hour.
