The Argon Wall-mounted Flueless Gas Fire
Manufactured by Superior, the Argon is a new design offering the ultimate in contemporary styling and the latest in gas fire technology. The Argon presents a layered effect, with the firebox surrounded by black glass and framed with silver. The entire glass front of this fire is curved, adding to the contemporary and dramatic presence of this unit.
This curved glass front is also functional. A gas strut both holds the glass window in position and allows for it to be opened and closed. The open position provides easy access to the control panel. To operate the Argon, simply open the window and use the single control valve with its integral battery-free ignition to turn on and control the flame effect. Once at the desired setting, which ranges from low to higher dancing flames, the glass window easily closes.
The Argon is taller than it is wide, making it a good choice for narrower walls. It comes with a corner-fixing bracket so that it can be hung not only on a flat wall, but spanning a corner. It is 715mm in height, 585mm in width, and projects 170mm from the wall once hung. Because no flue or inset is required, installation is easy.
The Argon flueless gas fire provides from 1.3kW to 1.7kW of heat. An LPG-compatible model, available as of April 2008, has a heat output that ranges from 1.3kW LPG to 1.7kW.
The Argon has a rotary manual control.
